BabyBite is an AI-powered baby meal planning platform operated as a free public service. Our platform is available at babybite.eu.

2. Data we collect

BabyBite is designed to be privacy-first. We collect minimal data:

• No account data — No registration, email address, or personal profile is ever required or stored.
• Meal preferences (local) — Language, allergy settings, and dietary preferences are stored in your browser cookies only. They are not sent to our servers.
• Saved meals (local) — Recipes you save are stored in your device's localStorage only.
• Anonymised analytics — We use Google Analytics to collect anonymised usage data (pages visited, session duration). No personal data is linked to these events.
• AI API inputs — When you generate a meal plan, your inputs (age, ingredients, meal type) are sent to OpenAI's API to generate a response. We do not store these after the session ends. See OpenAI's Privacy Policy.

3. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies to remember your language, allergy filters, and daily usage count (rate limiting). We do not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies.

4. Children's privacy

BabyBite does not knowingly collect any personal information from children. The platform is designed for use by parents and caregivers. We do not collect or store your baby's name, date of birth, or any identifying information.

5. Your rights (GDPR)
